The Alabama Hammers are a professional indoor football team in the Professional Indoor Football League. Based in Huntsville, Alabama, the Hammers play their home games at the Von Braun Center.[1]
The Hammers are the third indoor football team to play at the Von Braun Center, following the defunct Arena Football team most recently known as the Alabama Vipers which played from 2000 to 2004 and 2006 to 2010, and the 2005 Tennessee Valley Raptors of United Indoor Football.
In their inaugural season, the Hammers played in the Southern Indoor Football League.
